Questvertising is a combination of the words quest and advertising.
It is a concept of advertising actions based on simple tasks set for the user.
Performing the desired action usually requires familiarizing yourself with the advertising message, which is the main goal of Questvertising. Tasks can take the form of questions, puzzles or other activities that require involvement, e.g. mini games.
or the effectiveness of Questvertising, it is crucial to build the user’s motivation to act in a given way. The reward may be access to content, a gift or a discount.
The concept of Questvertising is to some extent related to the concept of „gamification”.
In gamification, the product or service involvement is a long-term goal, achieved through the introduction of elements known from role-playing and computer games. In Questvertising, on the contrary, the engagement on the part of the recipient is immediate and aimed at achieving the goal quickly. A quiz or a simple computer game may be a part of Questvertising, but the ultimate intention is to provide advertising content.
